Art for me is another language, and a way to express my feelings. I regularly view, analyze and absorb my surroundings, and when it triggers a certain feeling, I find myself back in my studio in front of the canvas.

Through my art, I aim to capture the emotions of a moment, preserving the observations of that day while inviting new feelings to emerge and inspire others.

BIOGRAPHY

Jonas Masreliez, a creative mind and mixed media, abstract and contemporary artist. My journey began in Sweden and Finland, raised by my Finnish mother and French/German father. I am proudly working to continue the long lineage of artists and designers from my fathers side.

I remember my dad inspired me to explore my creative side via art and I always enjoyed watching him draw and create amazing illustrations with just a graphite pen.

​

I have called South Florida my home since 1995.  I graduated from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, majoring in Graphic Design and Multimedia. I have worked in the creative field for 20+ years, and more recently brought my old passion of painting back to the forefront. 

​

I now blend the influences of my multi-cultural upbringing and heritage, with my love for art and design. While I also enjoy painting landscapes, nature, or other themed art, my passion is the unrestricted form of abstract art.
